Gestart in 1994 als 14 jarige jongetje. Van 2007-2011 als prof de wereld over.
2007: 2nd at Nationals Ironman
2009: 3rd at Nationals Ironman
Snelste tijd 8:29:45 tijdens 10 Ironman finishes op 3 continenten.

Always when driving past Almere I remember my races there. The endless straight roads. The relentless winds blowing over the open land. The infinate amount of energy producing windmills. The pounding on the paddles wind head winds. The flow of riding in front of that same wind. The shot taken by Marc van der Kort. The lonelyness in the last of three laps of the bike course. And more. So much more. But never before I took time to go off te highway to remember. Untill yesterday and this is the shot I made on the course. Making me smile and remember.
